I was lucky to start with a bunch of proteomics data to analyse - trying to work out the mechanism of a repurposed drug. My abstract is bacically data transformations and pathway analysis. I always said I wanted to learn bioinformatics but I got thrown in the deep end!
Try to be as innovative and excited in your wording as you can while still staying serious and to-the-point. Present what‘s especially novel about your findings, and how they might help pave the way to new advances in the field.

Link it to the Call for Papers or conference theme, and emphasise original approach.
Think about title. Briefly set scene/context. Methods can be brief. Results/Discussion/Conclusions are key. What are major findings/significance in context of field. Include strengths/limitations. Say why we should care. If option check both oral or poster box. Good luck!

Focus on one big statement. put the punchline in the title. save details for the presentation and questions.
Conference abstract are different than standard abstract. A special focus on novelty is important, and applicability of results/observation in the context of available research.
